Rope Handling Clinics

Knowing how to work with our horses is such an integral part of training them.  Do you know if you block their energy, or are sharp on the rope, do you know what it feels like to be your horse on the end of a lead rope ?

In this clinic we work with ´human horses´ and experience rope handling from the horses point of view.  This allows us many advantages; we can freeze frame, play with changes, rewind, slow things down, and most importantly we get real time verbal feedback from our human horse.

With permission of Alexandra Kurland, this clinic closely follows Alexandra Kurlands DVD; Tai Chi Rope Handling and alllows us to put the theory in to practice.

Microriding Clinics

With clicker training we are able to shape the horses behaviour in tiny increments, in fact we can shape them muscle by muscle.  With teaching this level of detail to the horses we also need to consider our own movements.

Do you know what your body is communicating to your horse ?  Do you know what your down transition is and how to access it ?  Can you release at your poll ?

With the microriding clinic we exlpore all of this and more.  We break things down in to small details for ourselves and find the micro movements that our horses are reading.  With permission of Alexandra Kurland, the clinic follows the Microriding DVD.
